Automotive Sensors

Engine speed sensor
Measures the speed of the crankshaft and sends information to the engine control module.
Oxygen sensor
Measures the amount of oxygen in the exhaust system. The car's computer uses this information to calculate the correct ratio of fuel and air for combustion.

Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor
Provides information about the manifold pressure to the engine's electronic control unit.

Coolant temperature sensor
Measures the engine's coolant level. The computer uses this information to control all functions.

Fuel temperature sensor
Regulates the amount of fuel needed for efficient performance. It sends data to the car's Engine Control Unit.

Knock sensor
Located in the cylinder head, this sensor generates a voltage signal based on vibrations from explosions.

Crankshaft position sensor
Reports the position of the crankshaft to the fuel injection and ignition system. This ensures the correct timing of valve motion and sparking.

Throttle position sensor
Located in or on the throttle body assembly, this sensor helps the engine management system determine the throttle valve's angle and rotational speed.
