Returns Policy
FAB AUTO PARTS – RETURN AND REFUND POLICY
This policy outlines the procedures and conditions for returning products purchased from FAB AUTO PARTS. Customers are advised to read this policy carefully before initiating a return.
1. Return Authorization Procedure
a. Return For Credit (RFC) Required: All returns must be pre-authorized. Customers must obtain a Return For Credit (RFC) number before shipping any product back to FAB AUTO PARTS. Returns received without a valid RFC number will not be accepted.
b. Requesting an RFC: To initiate a return, please complete our official Returns For Credit (RFC) form. This requires your original order number, full name associated with the order, email address, the specific part number(s) being returned, and a detailed explanation for the return request. If the order number is unavailable, please provide the approximate date of purchase and the full name used during the transaction.
c. RFC Issuance: Upon processing your request, an RFC number, along with the correct return shipping address and detailed shipping instructions, will typically be emailed to you within two (2) to three (3) business days.
d. Shipping Requirements:
i. The assigned RFC number must be clearly written on the exterior of the shipping package. Packages lacking a visible RFC number will be refused and returned to the sender at the sender's expense.
ii. All return shipments must be sent with postage prepaid. Return shipping charges are non-refundable.
iii. Products must be packaged securely and appropriately to prevent damage during transit. FAB AUTO PARTS is not responsible for damage sustained during return shipping due to improper packaging.
2. Return Eligibility and Conditions
a. Return Window: Eligible products (including cores and incorrect parts) may be returned within seven (7) business days from the original date of shipment. Returns requested or received after this 7-business-day period will not be accepted.
b. Product Condition: All returned parts must be in their original, unused, and resalable condition. Products cannot be returned if they have been disassembled, damaged due to incorrect installation attempts, or otherwise altered from their original state. Original packaging should be included where applicable.
c. Exclusions: FAB AUTO PARTS is not liable for installation errors. Furthermore, we are not responsible for any ancillary costs incurred due to the use of incorrect or defective parts, including but not limited to labor expenses, towing charges, or rental vehicle fees.
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are explicitly excluded from this return policy and cannot be returned under any circumstances:
a. Products designated as "Special-Order."
b. Auto Body Parts.
c. Electrical parts, fuel pumps, hydraulic parts and tools where the original packaging has been opened/unsealed or if the part has been plugged in or installed.
4. Restocking Fee
All eligible returns are subject to a twenty percent (20%) restocking fee, calculated based on the original purchase price of the returned item(s). This fee is non-refundable and will be deducted from the total refund amount. The restocking fee will only be waived if the return is necessitated by a verifiable error on the part of FAB AUTO PARTS (e.g., shipment of an incorrect item different from what was ordered).
5. Refund Processing
a. Timeline: Refunds for authorized returns are typically processed and credited within thirty (30) business days from the date the returned product is received and logged at our designated warehouse facility.
b. Approval Process: Upon receipt, returned cores or parts may be forwarded to the original manufacturer for inspection and return approval, which is a prerequisite for refund issuance.
c. Credit Issuance: Once the return is approved and processed, the refund amount (less any applicable restocking fees) will be credited back to the original payment method (e.g., the credit card used for the purchase).
d. Notification: An email notification confirming "Credit Approved" will be sent on the day the refund is issued.
e. Bank Processing Time: Please be aware that the customer's financial institution may require an additional four (4) to seven (7) business days to post the credit to the relevant account or credit card statement.
f. Inquiries: Should a credit not appear within thirty (30) days of our confirmed receipt of the return, please contact our returns department via email at fabautoparts833@gmail.com for immediate assistance.
6. Shipping Issues and Risk of Loss
a. Risk of Loss: All items purchased from FAB AUTO PARTS are subject to shipping terms designated as F.O.B. (Free On Board) Shipping Point. This signifies that the risk of loss and title for the items pass to the customer at the moment the shipping carrier accepts the goods for transport.
b. Lost or Stolen Packages: FAB AUTO PARTS is not responsible for packages lost or stolen after confirmed delivery or during transit. All claims for lost or stolen packages must be initiated and managed directly by the customer with the respective shipping carrier.
c. Receipt and Inspection: Customers are responsible for thoroughly inspecting all packages immediately upon delivery to check for missing, damaged, or incorrect parts.
d. Handling Damaged Shipments: i. If damage is observed upon delivery: DO NOT accept the package. Instruct the delivery driver to immediately return the package to the sender. ii. If a damaged package is left in your absence: Contact the shipping carrier immediately to report the damage and arrange for the package to be returned to the sender.
e. Reporting Deadline: Any issues concerning missing, damaged, or incorrect parts must be reported to FAB AUTO PARTS immediately upon discovery. Claims or returns related to such issues will not be accepted after fourteen (14) business days from the original shipment date, irrespective of the party at fault.
f. Expedited Shipping Disclaimer: For orders shipped via expedited services (e.g., Overnight), customers should be aware that carriers reserve the right to extend delivery times by up to 24 hours for residential addresses. This is beyond the control of FAB AUTO PARTS, and expedited shipping charges will not be refunded for such carrier-related delays.
7. Order Cancellations
a. Processing: Orders are processed electronically and transmitted to the designated warehouse for fulfillment immediately following order confirmation.
b. Cancellation Window: Due to rapid processing, the window for order cancellation is extremely limited. Cancellation requests MUST be submitted before the customer receives the "Invoice - Payment" confirmation email.
c. Post-Payment: No orders can be cancelled once payment has been confirmed and the order has been processed for shipment.
d. Weekend Orders: Orders placed between Friday at 5:00 PM and Monday at 9:00 AM (local time assumed based on company address) cannot be cancelled, as they are processed for shipment over the weekend.
